Grave Rosary Beads and Grave Lights

grave rosaryAt this seasonal time of the year, it’s always a beautiful idea to take a wreath or candle to the grave of your loved one. At Simple Blessings we provide a wide selection of grave ornaments and LED candles to display on your beloved’s grave. We have recently added a  new grave rosary to our collection, and we think it’s a stunning rosary – it features large white imitation mother of pearl beads in the form of a rose, and a Miraculous medal rosary center. The Our Fathers (or Paters) are large lilac roses in full bloom! So unique! The cross displays images of Jesus and the words Peace – Love – Hope and Faith. A lovely rosary, perfect for a gravestone or even hanging in your home on the wall, we’re sure it’ll bring much peace to your heart.

We also provide some white and red LED candles, normal wax candles and grave grave lightlanterns – most of our wax candles have windproof lids making them suitable for outdoor use, and the large LED grave lanterns have paneled windows and a little door for easy access to the battery operated candle inside. We also have two designs of large red LED grave lights for you to choose from –  one features a simple cross imprinted on the front, and the other is in the shape of a cross with Jesus imprinted on the front. These red LED lights cast a beautiful warm glow over the grave and can be left safely unattended due to them giving off no flame, no heat, no wax and no smoke. A lovely idea for this Christmas, to adorn your beloved’s grave with radiant red grave lights and a rosary, so you can be near to them and they in turn, can feel your presence with them.

Novena Prayers to Our Lady of Lourdes

novenaAre you, or someone you dearly love trying to cope with an illness? Have you often said prayers on behalf of your friend or relative to ask the Saints, Angels, God, Jesus or the Holy Mother to intercede and help heal the patient? It’s hard to live with any kind of illness, but having to see a loved one suffering is also very harrowing. Have you tried saying a Novena over nine days for someone who’s in pain or ill? It may bring them strength and much comfort…..

What is a Novena?

In the Roman Catholic tradition, a novena is a series of prayers which are said over the course of nine days. The goal of going through a novena is to ask for grace, and to deepen one’s spiritual connection with God. Although the practice of the novena originated in the Catholic community, similar prayers are also said in other Christian sects.

A novena may be said for oneself, usually as a request for assistance of some form or another, or on behalf of someone else. A classic example of a novena is a prayer asking for a sick relative to be healed. In devout communities, people may say novenas for strangers, or say “I’ll make a novena for you” upon hearing of someone else’s troubles.

We believe that saying a Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes is a lovely way to connect to the Holy Mother who is the Patron Saint of bodily ills, and it will help to bring comfort and solace to the patient. We have a wide selection of Novena prayer booklets on our web site here: http://simpleblessings.co.uk/novena_booklets/index.html

Please feel free to ask us any questions about prayers and novenas, and we’ll be more than happy to help! May all your prayers and thoughts be filled with God’s everlasting love, light and wonder. Until next time, have a wonderful week – with much love from Simple Blessings
